The ground rules, in plain English.

Agreement. These Terms of Use apply whenever you use the ethiobookr website and related services. By using ethiobookr, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Who can use it. You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live. If you use ethiobookr for another person or a business, you confirm that you are allowed to.

Your account. You can browse without an account. You can also create one with your email, or sign in with Google or Apple. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.

Other terms. These Terms work alongside property rules, rate conditions and any third-party terms shown during your journey. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

We help you find a stay. ethiobookr lets you discover and compare hotels, guesthouses, lodges and hostels across Ethiopia. The stays themselves are provided by the properties, not by ethiobookr.

We are not the host. Listing a property doesn't mean ethiobookr owns, runs or guarantees it. The property is responsible for providing your stay.

What “verified” means. Properties on ethiobookr have been verified before being listed. Verification is not a promise of quality, availability or suitability for your particular trip.

The service will change. Features may be added, changed, paused or removed as ethiobookr develops.

Where it comes from. Descriptions, photos, amenities, locations, rates and availability come from the properties and can change without notice.

Accuracy. We work to keep information accurate, but mistakes and omissions can happen. If something is essential to your trip, such as an accessibility feature, a specific amenity, the exact location or a house rule, confirm it with the property before you book.

Reviews. Guest reviews are the views of the people who wrote them, not of ethiobookr.

Currency. You can view prices in US dollars (USD) or Ethiopian birr (ETB). Switching currency changes how prices are shown. Always check the currency on your quote and hold summary before you act.

Quotes. When you check availability, we show a quote for your dates, rooms and rate plan. A quote reflects availability at that moment and can change.

Taxes and fees. A displayed rate may not include taxes or additional charges unless the listing or summary says it does.

Room holds. A room hold keeps your chosen room available for 15 minutes while you finish deciding. When the time runs out, the room is released automatically. You can cancel a hold at any time from its page.

Fair use of holds. Don't use holds to block rooms you don't intend to book. We may cancel holds that we reasonably believe are being abused.

The property confirms. A reservation exists only once the property confirms it. After you hold a room, follow the property's instructions to complete your booking.

Payment. Unless a booking step clearly says otherwise, payment for your stay is arranged with the property under its own terms.

Check before you confirm. Make sure your dates, number of guests, number of rooms, total price and currency are right.

Keep your records. Keep your hold reference and any confirmation or messages from the property.

Rate plan rules apply. Changes, cancellations, refunds, deposits and no-show charges follow the conditions of your rate plan and the property's policy. Each rate plan shows whether it is refundable and what its cancellation policy says.

Read before you book. Review the cancellation policy and its deadlines before you confirm a stay.

Making a change. To change or cancel a confirmed reservation, contact the property and follow its process.

Our role. ethiobookr can't guarantee that a change will be approved or a refund given. Where we can help, we will, but the decision belongs to the property.

Be accurate. Give accurate information in forms, holds and messages.

Follow the rules of the stay. Respect each property's house rules, check-in instructions and the conditions you accepted.

Protect your account. Use a strong, unique password and keep your sign-in details secure.

Be lawful and considerate. Use ethiobookr lawfully, and respect the rights and safety of other people.

Don't misuse the service. Don't try to gain unauthorised access, disrupt the website, introduce malicious code, impersonate someone, or use ethiobookr to deceive or harm others.

Don't scrape or copy. Don't collect data in unauthorised ways, or copy, redistribute or commercially exploit ethiobookr content without permission.

Don't submit harmful content. Anything you submit must not be unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, infringing or misleading.

Our right to act. Where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or our legal interests, we may investigate suspected misuse and restrict or suspend access, subject to applicable law.

Availability. We work to keep ethiobookr running, but we don't promise uninterrupted or error-free access.

Third-party services. ethiobookr may link to or rely on other services, such as Google and Apple sign-in. They have their own terms and privacy practices, and we aren't responsible for them.

Limits on our responsibility. To the extent the law allows, ethiobookr isn't responsible for losses caused by inaccurate listing information, a property's actions or omissions, or a property's booking decisions.

Your legal rights. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where that would be unlawful, or removes rights you have that can't legally be excluded.

Updates. We may update these Terms as ethiobookr changes or the law requires. The current version is always on this page with its date. If you keep using ethiobookr after an update takes effect, you accept the updated Terms where the law allows. If you don't agree, stop using the service.

If part of it fails. If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest continues to apply.

Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of Ethiopia. Disputes are handled by the courts with jurisdiction there, unless mandatory law gives you other rights.
